Auf einer au\u00dferordentlichen Sitzung des Rathauses von Torrevieja wurde schlie\u00dflich das Projekt zum Bau von zwei Wohnhochh\u00e4usern, bekannt als \u201eTorres Baraka\u201c (\u201eBaraka-T\u00fcrme\u201c), genehmigt. Diese 26-st\u00f6ckigen Wolkenkratzer mit einer H\u00f6he von jeweils 82 Metern werden neben dem Stadtpark Do\u00f1a Sinforosa errichtet, der eine der lokalen Attraktionen darstellt. Die \u00dcberlegungen zu diesem Projekt begannen unter der vorherigen Stadtverwaltung, danach wurde es dreimal zur \u00f6ffentlichen Diskussion gestellt und erfuhr eine Reihe von \u00c4nderungen. Entgegen den Behauptungen der Gegner des Baus der T\u00fcrme wird er weder negative Auswirkungen auf die Integrit\u00e4t der K\u00fcste noch auf die Umwelt haben. Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass eine H\u00e4lfte der Wohnfl\u00e4che f\u00fcr Privatwohnungen vorgesehen ist, die zum Verkauf angeboten werden, und die andere H\u00e4lfte f\u00fcr ein touristisches Niveau von mindestens drei Sternen mit der Organisation von Reinigung und Verpflegung.
