Aufgrund einer v\u00f6lligen \u00c4nderung der Forschungsmethodik wurde jedoch auf Vergleiche mit den Vorjahren verzichtet. Zu den wichtigsten Schlussfolgerungen der Studie geh\u00f6rt die Loyalit\u00e4t der Touristen gegen\u00fcber der gew\u00e4hlten Option: 47,2 % derjenigen, die sich zuvor f\u00fcr eine Touristenunterkunft entschieden haben, suchen nur nach dieser Art von Unterkunft, und 98 % sind mit ihrer Erfahrung rundum zufrieden. Dar\u00fcber hinaus sind 54,8 % der Kunden, die sich f\u00fcr diese Wohnform entschieden haben, Familien mit Kindern; 24,6 % \u2013 Paare und 18 % \u2013 Gruppen von Freunden. Was Hotels betrifft, so werden sie am h\u00e4ufigsten von Paaren ausgew\u00e4hlt (43,7 %), w\u00e4hrend Familien mit Kindern an zweiter Stelle stehen (43,2 %). Eine Nacht in einer Touristenunterkunft kostete im Jahr 2018 durchschnittlich 34,14 Euro, in einem Hotel waren es 58,5 Euro. Gleichzeitig betrugen die durchschnittlichen Gesamturlaubsausgaben f\u00fcr touristische Beherbergungsbetriebe 2.092 Euro und f\u00fcr Hotels 1.606 Euro. Gleichzeitig betrug das Verh\u00e4ltnis der \u00dcbernachtungskosten zu den gesamten Urlaubskosten im ersten Fall 24 % (503 \u20ac) und im zweiten Fall 32 % (518 \u20ac). Dies ist zum einen darauf zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren, dass Erstere mehr N\u00e4chte in der von ihnen gew\u00e4hlten Unterkunft verbringen als Letztere: 5,3 N\u00e4chte in Touristenunterk\u00fcnften gegen\u00fcber 3,6 N\u00e4chten in einem Hotel. Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist die durchschnittliche Anzahl der gleichzeitig eincheckenden Personen in Touristenunterk\u00fcnften h\u00f6her als in Hotels: 4 Personen gegen\u00fcber 2,7. In 81,3 Prozent der F\u00e4lle handelte es sich bei touristischen Unterk\u00fcnften und Hotels um komplement\u00e4re Angebote, das hei\u00dft, Touristen, die sich 2018 f\u00fcr eines entschieden hatten, nutzten auch das andere. Jeder Beherbergungsbetrieb unternahm im Jahr 2018 1,3 Urlaubsreisen. Interessanterweise stellen Nutzer von Touristenunterk\u00fcnften weniger Anspr\u00fcche an den Standort der k\u00fcnftigen Unterkunft als Nutzer von Hotels: 48,7 % von ihnen k\u00f6nnen sich f\u00fcr weniger gut gelegene Unterk\u00fcnfte entscheiden.
