In the context of the financial and economic crisis caused by the сovid-19 pandemic in Spain, real estate agencies in Benidorm are slowly beginning to change their priorities in terms of attracting clients. In particular, now they focus not on tourists – both Spanish and foreign, but on residents of the country who work remotely. To this end, a project was launched called Vivir en Benidorm, trabajar desde el Paraíso («To live in Benidorm, to work from Paradise»), which means the arrangement of tourist apartments for long-term rental to those who were transferred by their employers to the remote work.

In this regard, the tourist capital of the Costa Blanca compares favorably with many other popular destinations. In addition to the unique climate without any extreme temperature changes and heavy precipitation, its advantages include compactness, developed infrastructure (shops, markets, hospitals, schools), good transport links to other localities of the province and almost all major cities in Spain, as well as the presence of many entertainment industry facilities. Not least is the fact that in the «Spanish Manhattan», as Benidorm is known, and in its immediate environs there are quite a lot of parks and other «green areas», and all local beaches are marked with the Blue flag – the EU quality mark.

Thanks to that, Benidorm is a kind of «oasis» for those who can execute their work duties without being present in the office. At the same time, Tourist Lab coworking spaces that meet all sanitary and hygienic safety requirements are created and equipped here in accordance with advanced technologies.
