Vanaf 1 juni introduceert het populaire boekingsportaal voor woningen Airbnb een nieuw systeem: vanaf begin deze maand zal het portaal geen illegaal te huur aangeboden appartementen meer plaatsen. Dit werd aangekondigd door Arnaldo Munoz, algemeen directeur van de website in Spanje en Portugal. De naleving van de wettelijke vereisten door verhuurders zal worden gecontroleerd dankzij een verbeterd registratiesysteem. Om een object te plaatsen, moeten verhuurders<\/a> persoonlijke gegevens invoeren, waaronder informatie over identiteitsbewijzen. Het registratieproces zal ook ingewikkeld zijn voor verhuurders die woningen te huur<\/a> aanbieden voor maximaal 30 dagen. Om appartementen voor kortetermijnverhuur te plaatsen, is er een speciaal veld beschikbaar waar een code moet worden ingevoerd die de status van "toeristische" huur bevestigt. Dit geldt niet voor kamerverhuur. De eis om het registratiesysteem te verscherpen kwam van het stadhuis van Barcelona. Tijdens een inspectie van het portaal trof de overheidsinstantie meer dan 2500 geplaatste objecten aan die illegaal te huur<\/a> worden aangeboden. Het stadhuis eiste dat deze van het portaal zouden worden verwijderd. De directie van Airbnb heeft op haar beurt een verzoek gestuurd aan het kantoor van de burgemeester om vergelijkbare eisen te stellen aan alle vergelijkbare sites en platforms die huurwoningen aanbieden. Zoals bekend heeft Airbnb zich gevestigd als een betrouwbare bron voor het boeken van onroerend goed, waar niet alleen in Spanje veel vraag naar is. Omdat Airbnb niet alleen huisvesting biedt aan gebruikers van de portal, maar ook werkgelegenheid biedt aan mensen in de toeristische sector, stelde de directie van het bedrijf voor om samen te werken met het kantoor van de burgemeester en te zoeken naar de meest effectieve manieren om problemen met huurders op te lossen.
