Met de steun van GuruWalk, een platform voor \u00abgratis tours\u00bb, toeristische en culturele activiteiten, is de derde editie van de ranking \u00abBest 100 Walking Cities\u00bb verschenen \u2013 een overzicht van de populairste en best beoordeelde steden ter wereld onder reizigers die plaatsen bij voorkeur te voet ontdekken, begeleid door ervaren lokale gidsen.<\/p>\n

Voor het derde jaar op rij voert Rome deze lijst aan dankzij de dichtheid aan monumenten, het mooie historische centrum en de enorme keuze aan excursieroutes. De tweede plaats ging naar Madrid<\/a>, dat \u00e9\u00e9n positie steeg ten opzichte van vorig jaar. Daarmee versterkte de stad haar reputatie als toegankelijke stedelijke bestemming, aangevuld met een hoge culturele en gastronomische waarde.<\/p>\n

    Hoe de ranking werd samengesteld<\/h2>\n

    Voor het samenstellen van deze ranking werd het werkelijke gedrag van reizigers over de afgelopen 12 maanden geanalyseerd (van april 2025 tot april 2026). Van de meer dan 800 steden waarin het platform actief is, werden de 120 populairste onder reizigers geselecteerd voor analyse, en werden meer dan 467.000 geverifieerde beoordelingen van 3617 verschillende tours verwerkt.<\/p>\n

    Spaanse steden in de ranking<\/h2>\n

    Spanje leidt opnieuw de ranking met 19 steden, v\u00f3\u00f3r Frankrijk (7), Itali\u00eb (5) en Duitsland (4).
