Volgens de laatste offici\u00eble gegevens gepubliceerd door het Ministerie van Industrie, Handel en Toerisme bereikten de buitenlandse investeringen in de Spaanse economie 15,66 miljard euro in de eerste helft van het jaar. Dit is 53,4% meer dan in dezelfde periode van 2021, waarbij de investeringsgroei zowel in het eerste als in het tweede kwartaal plaatsvond. Het grootste deel van de buitenlandse investeringen was in de productie van apparatuur, gereedschapswerktuigen en machines – 1,856 miljard euro. Het wordt gevolgd door gas-, stoom- en elektriciteitsleveranciers (1,302) en de telecommunicatiesector (1,29). De top drie landen met de grootste investeringsvolumes waren Luxemburg (6,703), de Verenigde Staten (2,533) en het Verenigd Koninkrijk (2,118). Van de Spaanse autonome regio's ontving de autonome regio Madrid de meeste fondsen van buitenlandse investeerders – 10,927 miljard euro, wat bijna 70% van het totaal is.
