Hiervan gaven toeristen \u20ac 3,260 miljard uit tijdens hun vakantie, waarvan \u20ac 1,098 miljard aan producten en diensten in de buurt van de toeristische accommodatie. Volgens de VI Barometer van toeristische huurwoningen in Spanje (VI Bar\u00f3metro del Alquiler Vacacional), ontwikkeld door het HomeAway-platform, gespecialiseerd in toeristische huurwoningen, kozen 7,9 miljoen reizigers voor dit type accommodatie in Spanje tijdens hun vakantie. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-89565\" src=\"https:\/\/alegria-realestate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/tourist-property-rent-in-spain-20182-1024x764.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"764\" srcset=\"https:\/\/alegria-realestate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/tourist-property-rent-in-spain-20182-1024x764.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/alegria-realestate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/tourist-property-rent-in-spain-20182-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/alegria-realestate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/tourist-property-rent-in-spain-20182-768x573.jpg 768w, https:\/\/alegria-realestate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/tourist-property-rent-in-spain-20182.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/> HomeAway-experts hebben een vergelijking gemaakt tussen twee soorten vakantieaccommodaties: vakantiehuizen en hotels. Er zijn echter geen vergelijkingen gemaakt met voorgaande jaren vanwege een volledige wijziging in de onderzoeksmethodologie. De belangrijkste bevindingen van het onderzoek zijn de loyaliteit van toeristen aan hun gekozen optie: 47,2% van degenen die eerder voor vakantiehuizen kozen, zochten alleen naar dit type accommodatie en 98% was volledig tevreden met hun ervaring. Tegelijkertijd is 54,8% van de klanten die voor dit type accommodatie kozen, een gezin met kinderen; 24,6% zijn stellen en 18% zijn vriendengroepen. Hotels worden het vaakst gekozen door stellen (43,7%) en gezinnen met kinderen staan op de tweede plaats (43,2%). De kosten voor \u00e9\u00e9n nacht in vakantiehuizen bedroegen in 2018 gemiddeld \u20ac 34,14, terwijl dit in een hotel \u20ac 58,50 was. Tegelijkertijd bedroegen de gemiddelde totale kosten voor vakantiegangers van vakantiehuizen \u20ac 2.092 en voor hotels \u20ac 1.606. De verhouding tussen de verblijfskosten en de totale vakantie-uitgaven bedroeg in het eerste geval 24% (\u20ac 503) en in het tweede geval 32% (\u20ac 518). Dit komt voornamelijk doordat de eersten meer nachten in de gekozen accommodatie doorbrengen dan de laatstgenoemden: 5,3 nachten in een toeristische accommodatie versus 3,6 nachten in een hotel. Bovendien is het gemiddelde aantal personen dat tegelijkertijd incheckt in een toeristische accommodatie hoger dan in het geval van hotels: 4 personen versus 2,7. In 81,3 procent van de gevallen waren toeristische accommodatie en hotels complementaire opties, wat betekent dat toeristen die in 2018 voor \u00e9\u00e9n van de twee kozen, ook de andere gebruikten. Elke gebruiker van een toeristische accommodatie maakte in 2018 1,3 vakantiereizen. Als betaalmiddel geeft 38,8% de voorkeur aan bankpassen. Interessant is dat gebruikers van toeristische accommodaties minder hoge eisen stellen aan de locatie van de toekomstige accommodatie dan gebruikers van hotels: 48,7% van hen kiest mogelijk voor een minder gunstig gelegen accommodatie.
