We recently wrote about the water park “Aquopolis” in Torrevieja. However, “Aquopolis” is not the only one water park in the suburbs of the city. In the urbanization La Siesta there is another small but very cozy water park “Flamingo”, which is ideal for families with little children.
You can easily find this Waterpark: it is 2 minutes away driving from the “Habaneras” shopping center, if you take the CV-905 Torrevieja-Crevillente road towards Ciudad Quesada.
This year the park is open every day from May 28 to September from 11:00 to 18:00. A free parking is available for the guests.
Admission Tickets:
- For adults (from 13 to 59 years): 14 €
- For children (from 4 to 12 years): 12 €
- For the retirees (over 59 years old): 12 €
- For the little children (under 4 years): for free
Adults must accompany children under 14 years of age in the park. Children, who cannot swim, have to wear a life vests or armbands, and swim in that part of the pool, where they can reach the ground safely with their feet.
Babies are only allowed to visit the waterpark while wearing a special waterproof diapers. There is a shallow pool absolutely safe for babies.
It is forbidden for children and adults to access the attractions, slides and pools in street clothes. As a matter of courtesy it is recommended to take a shower and wash out the sunscreen cream before entering the pool.
Children under 1.1 m (tubes) and 1.2 m (slides) are not allowed to use the attractions. All the attractions are closed 15 minutes before the park’s closing time.
The park has a sun loungers free of charge in the most comfortable and shady places. You can use it without restriction, but remember that the number of sun loungers is limited.
Like any other water park, “Flamingo” understands that active recreation increases appetite. A Snack bar (open from 12:30 to 16:00) on territory of the waterpark offers great meals to satisfy hunger of its guests. Snacks, ice cream, soft drinks are on sale.
You can bring your own snacks, fruit, pastries, but not a proper meal that requires vessels and cutlery. Plastic bottled drinks are permitted, but the glass and tin containers must be left outside the park. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in any shape or form. There is a special area reserved for lunch. It is forbidden to eat, drink and smoke near the active recreational areas.
As any other water park, Aquapark Flamingo has bathrooms, changing rooms and a health-care unit.
Probably everyone knows that the amount of sunny days during the year in Costa Blanca is more than 300. Other sources inform about 320 days – who gives more? During summer period there are very few cloudy and even less rainy days. Though, sometimes it rains in Torrevieja between June and September. The rules of the water park clearly state, that the rain can’t be a reason to demand refunding. It’s funny, but it might have been cases when wet and frustrated guests wanted to get their money back for the reasons of the vagaries of the weather.
