28 May. Concert in honor of “Dire Straits”
A concert in honor of “Dire Straits” and the 40th anniversary of their iconic album Brothers In Arms will take place at the Principal Theatre of Alicante. “Brothers in Band” recreates in every detail the impressive tour that brought “Dire Straits” worldwide success in 1985 and 1986, with an impressive stage production and a carefully selected repertoire including the best compositions by Mark Knopfler’s band from that unforgettable period.

28–31 May. Nino Hogueras de Alicante 2026 exhibition
Until 14 June, the Sala de Exposiciones Lonja del Pescado is hosting an exhibition of the brightest figures from this year’s Hogueras festival. It presents 92 adult “ninot” figures, the same number of children’s figures and around twenty others of different types. Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite figure: the one that receives the most votes will be pardoned, will avoid being burned and will take its place in the museum.

28–31 May. Trip to Tabarca Island
Every day from the port of Torrevieja, Santa Pola or Alicante, you can take a boat to Tabarca Island – the largest and only inhabited island in the Valencian Community. Travelers will be able to enjoy underwater views, discover rich marine biodiversity, taste dishes in local restaurants and visit historical monuments. The boat is designed for 250 passengers, including people with disabilities and pets; you can bring food and drinks with you.

29 May. Concert by violinist Andrey Baranov
Violinist Andrey Baranov will perform at the ADDA Concert Hall in Alicante, accompanied by the City Symphony Orchestra under the direction of guest conductor Rossen Milanov. Andrey Baranov won the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition in 2012, as well as the Benjamin Britten and Henri Marteau international competitions. He has received prizes at more than twenty international competitions – including in Indianapolis, Seoul, Sendai, the Liana Isakadze, David Oistrakh competitions and the Paganini International Competition in Moscow. Since his landmark debut in 2005 at the Saint Petersburg Philharmonia with the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vasily Petrenko, he has performed on such world-famous stages as Bozar (Brussels), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Konzerthaus (Vienna), Cadogan Hall (London) and many others. As a soloist, he has collaborated with orchestras from Vienna, Saint Petersburg, Montreal, Liverpool, Luxembourg, Brussels and Stuttgart.
The concert program includes works by Sergei Taneyev (“Concert Suite for Violin and Orchestra”) and Antonín Dvořák (the overture “My Home”, the symphonic poem “The Hero’s Song”).

Every Friday, the Torrevieja street market operates in Parque Antonio Soria – one of the largest small-business centers in the Vega Baja region. On an area of 82,000 sq.m., there are up to 700 stalls and sales points with food, clothing, footwear, accessories and other goods at affordable prices compared with large supermarket chains. The Torrevieja market has many conveniences – such as free parking, public toilets and a taxi rank. Every 20 minutes from 8:00 to 14:00, a bus departs that is accessible for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users.
From Friday to Sunday, starting at 19:30, an amusement and games park for all ages is open here.
29 May. Concert by Diana Navarro
A concert by Spanish singer Diana Navarro, who is touring Spain to mark the 20th anniversary of her creative career, will take place at the Gran Teatro in Elche. 20 years ago, she burst onto the Spanish music scene with a project that produced a real revolution, uniting tradition and modernity. Her signature song “Sola” marked the beginning of a brilliant career, thanks to which she established herself as one of the most iconic voices of Spanish pop music. The concert program includes the styles and hits that have defined her creative path, as well as the new composition “Ya no estoy sola”.

The Multiespacio Rabasa concert complex in Alicante will host the Spring Festival 2026 music festival, which has established itself as one of the brightest events in the world of indie, pop and alternative music in Spain. Within the framework of this festival, viewers will be able to enjoy an impressive lineup of performers, including La M.O.D.A., Carolina Durante, Dorian, Xoel López, Siloé, Ginebras, Ladilla Rusa, Hens, Paula Mattheus, Marina Reche, Ultraligera, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana and Temples.

30 May. Gastronomic celebration “Fiesta del Cocido a la Leña”
The gastronomic society “Cocido con pelotas” from Torrevieja will hold its next annual gastronomic celebration “Fiesta del Cocido a la Leña” on the premises of the company “Cárnicas Ríos”, bringing together lovers of traditional cuisine around one of the most iconic local dishes. Guests will be offered a unique culinary experience fully based on cooking dishes over firewood, following traditional recipes. The full menu will include lunch, drinks and dessert. Before the stew is served, guests will be able to enjoy a buffet with a variety of snacks, grilled sausages and salads.
The main dish will be traditional stew with meatballs, cooked over firewood and served in the center of the table. This time, two types of meatballs will be available to try: traditional ones and an innovative version with artichoke. As for drinks, the menu includes water, soft drinks, beer and wine until dessert is served.

30 May. Performance “Panorama desde el puente”
The Gran Teatro in Elche will host the performance “Panorama desde el puente”, based on Arthur Miller’s play “A View from the Bridge”. Miller set the action of this play in 1950s New York, portraying Italian immigrants who dreamed of living in the land of unlimited opportunities. It is a tragic love and family drama in which Eddie Carbone’s repressed attraction to his niece Catherine provokes jealousy, obsession and betrayal. The play shows how forbidden love and jealousy collide with social norms, leading to the fall of the main character and defining his tragic fate.

The experimental theatre El Faro, located in Torrevieja at Calle Antonio Ruiz Coves, 6, invites you to a concert by Vitaly Grishchenko and Marina Gerro, who will present a nostalgic program “Love Each Other” featuring hits from the 60s and 70s. This is a bright musical marathon dedicated to the golden age of popular music – a time when legends were born, styles were formed and music became a symbol of freedom, romance and new ideas.

30–31 May. Children’s performance “The Story of One Miracle”
The experimental theatre El Faro will show the final performance of the “Teatroom” theatre studio, “The Story of One Miracle”. Somewhere between worlds there is an amazing country called Merezhina, which once was filled with colors, music and children’s laughter. But now darkness has enveloped it: an evil spider has woven its black web and subjugated the inhabitants of the country. They lost their voices, feelings and hope, turning into emotionless executors of his will. But one day a child from another world enters this world – brave, sincere and filled with light. It is he who must pass through fears, find friends and remind the inhabitants of Merezhina what it means to feel, dream and be free.

30–31 May. Theatrical excursion “Entre salinas y viñedos”
ARS CREATIO is organizing the theatrical excursion “Entre salinas y viñedos” (“Between salt flats and vineyards”) as part of the 9th conference “The Lagoons of Torrevieja and La Mata: cultural landscape, history and heritage”, whose aim is to draw attention to the historical and cultural heritage of Torrevieja. Through theatrical performances, scenes and characters connected with life on the salt flats and the agricultural traditions of this area come to life, allowing spectators to discover the historical past in a dynamic and interactive form.

31 May. Concert in honor of “The Beatles”
A concert in honor of “The Beatles” will take place at the Principal Theatre of Alicante, with their hits performed by “Abbey Road” – one of the best tribute bands in the world dedicated to the “Liverpool Four”. On stage, “Abbey Road” demonstrates remarkable accuracy in reproducing the original voices and sound, and is also able to recreate all the music from “The Beatles” discography. Their concerts feature a variety of costume changes made in the style of the original outfits of the corresponding eras, and instruments used by John, Paul, George and Ringo.
