Bigsound Festival expands its reach

After successful editions in Valencia, Seville and Pontevedra over the past two years, Bigsound Festival is opening a new chapter in its history with additional locations. On 25–26 July 2026 it will be held for the first time in Torrevieja, at Antonio Soria Park, while another newcomer city will be Barakaldo in the Basque Country.

With more than 300,000 people having attended Bigsound so far, the festival has established itself as the largest music event in Valencia, one of the five biggest in the Valencian Community and a key reference for mainstream and urban music in Europe. At the same time, it has proved its ability to attract international audiences and to deliver a strong economic and tourism impact in every host city.

The festival’s economic impact in Valencia

In Valencia, over the last five years the direct economic impact of Bigsound has exceeded 200 million euros, while the indirect impact has reached almost 300 million euros. More than 2,200 direct and 2,000 indirect jobs have been created, and hotel occupancy on some festival days has reached 92%. In addition, 64% of attendees came from outside the city – from all over Spain and from more than a dozen other countries.

Bigsound results in Galicia and Seville

In Galicia, Bigsound Pontevedra welcomed more than 35,000 visitors, generating an estimated economic impact of 14 million euros and creating jobs for over 1,300 professionals. The festival immediately established itself as the key summer music event in Galicia and entered the top five music festivals in the region.

Over its two editions in Seville, held at Plaza de España, Bigsound has attracted more than 30,000 people, 41% of whom were non-residents and 16% international visitors. The festival has helped strengthen Seville’s position as one of Spain’s most attractive cities for live music.

The Bigsound audience profile

Overall, the average age of the audience is around 27, with more than 50% of attendees aged between 25 and 36, and 24% between 18 and 24. Women account for 56% of the Bigsound audience.
