Until June 24, the city of Alicante will be completely transformed to celebrate its main festival: Hogueras de San Juan (Bonfires of Saint John), declared an event of International Tourist Interest. Under this year’s slogan, “The festival that unites us,” Alicante opens its doors wide to the world, showcasing all the diversity of its art, colors and traditions.

The city’s main local festival will reach its climax at midnight on June 24 with the launch of a spectacular palm-shaped firework from Mount Benacantil, marking the start of the magical “Night of the Burning” (Nit de la cremà).
