Following the demolition of the Minigolf del Rincón de Loix, the company Monver Inmobiliaria has obtained the favourable reports to build the new apartments in the area. According to the municipal legal report, it has been proposed that the suspension of the procedure be lifted and the building permit be granted for the 19 homes, commercial premises and garages at Avenida del Mediterraneo, number 54.

The file was awaiting the resolution of the dispute between the developer and the company managing the Minigolf. Once the resolution was known, they have continued with the procedure so that the company can build this small building in an excellent location: one street away from the Levante promenade and its beach.

The project began the procedures in 2018, however, it has not been until now when it has obtained the favourable reports that will have to be approved by the plenary. In November 2019, it requested the suspension because it was pending the judicial resolution that would give it possession of the plot in question, which was the subject of an appeal in the Provincial Court.

However, the deadline for the execution of the works once the licence is granted will be 18 months. The company is located in l’Alfàs del Pi and is owned by Monver Grupo Empresarial, which also owns Invercost and Montero & Romero. Founded in 1986, in 2018 it had a turnover of 3.5 million euros and earned one million.

In this way, one of the symbols of the Rincón de Loix also leaves. The Minigolf was created in 1976 and was a centre of attraction for tourists, especially in the summer period. In the last months, it had tried to stay open after the restrictions due to the pandemic. However, in October 2020 they informed their customers and followers on social networks that they would close “for the time being, perhaps indefinitely”, alluding to the health crisis. Finally, on 7 March they announced that they had lost the court battle after 9 years.
