Here is what residents and visitors of Torrevieja and nearby towns in Alicante province can enjoy at the end of this week.
14–15 August. Brilla Torrevieja 2026 Festival
Until 15 August, Parque Antonio Soria is hosting the traditional Brilla Torrevieja 2026 festival. This event has become a firm fixture in the city’s cultural and music calendar, bringing together top-level artists and offering a programme for audiences of all ages.
Since its creation, Brilla Torrevieja has become one of Torrevieja’s main summer attractions, with performances by major national and international music stars, as well as family shows, comedy programmes and electronic music sessions.
- 15 August, 22:30: Leiva – Tour Gigante. One of the most anticipated concerts of the summer and the closing event of the festival.
14–16 August. Cirque du Soleil tour
Until 23 August, Cirque du Soleil is performing in Alicante, on San Juan Beach, with the show KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities.
This inspiring production tells the story of the Seeker – an inventor and owner of a cabinet of curiosities who is convinced that a hidden, invisible world exists beyond our own. In his improvised realm, inhabited by characters from another world, the collection comes to life and makes everything around him extraordinary.
The show reveals Cirque du Soleil’s signature style in a new way, combining spectacular acrobatics with poetry, art and humour. The show premiered in Montreal in 2014. Since then, KURIOS has captivated more than 6 million spectators in over 40 cities worldwide, with more than 3000 performances by a troupe of 50 artists.

14–16 August. Raluy Legacy Circus tour
In Torrevieja, opposite Los Náufragos beach, the Raluy Legacy Circus continues its Spanish tour.
The international troupe, made up of more than 20 artists, presents the revolutionary show Cyborg, taking the audience into a world of unreal, magnetic, almost robotic characters and highly risky acts – including the Globe of Death in the dark.

14–16 August. Trip to Tabarca Island
Every day, visitors can take a boat from the ports of Torrevieja, Santa Pola or Alicante to Tabarca Island – the largest and only inhabited island in the Valencian Community.
Travellers can enjoy underwater views, discover rich marine biodiversity, try local restaurants and visit historic monuments.
The boat has capacity for 250 passengers, including people with reduced mobility and pets. Passengers may bring food and drinks on board.
Departures: from 9:30 to 18:45. Returns: from 10:30 to 19:30. Tickets from Torrevieja: 27 euros for adults and 19 euros for children.
14 and 17 August. Friday market in Torrevieja
Every Friday, Parque Antonio Soria hosts Torrevieja’s street market – one of the largest small-business hubs in the Vega Baja area.
Across an area of 82,000 m², there are up to 700 stalls selling food, clothing, shoes, accessories and other goods at prices that are often lower than in large supermarket chains.
The Torrevieja market offers many facilities, including free parking, public toilets and a taxi rank. Every 20 minutes from 8:00 to 14:00, there is an accessible bus service for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users.
From Friday to Sunday, starting at 19:30, the amusement and games area is open for all ages.
This time, the market will also operate on Monday, 17 August.
15 August. El Señor de los Anillos concert
The Archaeological Museum of Alicante MARQ will host a performance by the Noor Quartet string quartet as part of the Candlelight concert series.
The programme will include music from the films of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
