A large-scale Alicante Park project is being prepared in Alicante – a new sports and entertainment complex in the Rabasa district. It is being developed and implemented by Legends Global – an international company that manages commercial activities and premium services at the legendary Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid and cooperates with the biggest clubs in Europe.

Legends will become CF Intercity’s partner in building the new stadium and a permanent venue for major concerts and festivals.

What will be built in Rabasa: the Alicante Park project

The new Alicante Park complex will be located on a plot of about 100,000 m² in the Rabasa area, close to the existing Multiespacio Rabasa festival ground and just a few minutes’ drive from the city centre and Alicante airport.

The project includes two key facilities:

  • Open-air concert and festival arena – a multifunctional open-air venue with a permanent stage and full infrastructure for large tours. The planned capacity is over 20,000 spectators, with around 5,000 permanent seated places.
  • New football stadium for CF Intercity – a modern arena where the club will play its home matches. At the first stage, the stadium will hold around 5,000 spectators, with the possibility of expanding capacity as the club grows and demand from fans increases.

According to Legends’ plan, the complex will operate all year round: in addition to CF Intercity matches, up to 30 major concerts and events a year are planned here – from national tours of Spanish artists to international shows.

Investment and economic impact for the city

According to the business plan prepared by Legends Global, around €33 million are earmarked for the construction of Alicante Park and the purchase of land in Rabasa. The project financing has already been approved by CF Intercity’s shareholders, and the total investment limit in infrastructure is estimated at up to €60 million.

It is expected that already in the first year of operation the complex will be able to generate around €8 million in revenue with operating profit (EBITDA) of more than €3 million. In the long term, Alicante Park is seen as a new economic driver for the city: estimates suggest a total annual effect for Alicante’s economy of over €100 million and an additional wage fund of €15–20 million thanks to new jobs in tourism, services and event management.

It is also important that the project helps to combat seasonality in tourism. Major concerts and events are planned not only for the high summer season, but also for quieter months, which will support occupancy of hotels, restaurants and rental housing all year round.

What this means for the Alicante real estate market

For residents and investors, Alicante Park is not only a new stadium and concert arena, but also a strong driver for the development of the Rabasa district and the entire metropolitan area. The emergence of a modern sports and entertainment cluster, better transport accessibility and new business activity traditionally increase interest in nearby neighbourhoods – both from tenants and buyers.

If you are considering property in Alicante with a focus on growth in value and rental income in the medium term, infrastructure projects of this scale become an important argument in favour of the city.
